Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in a therapy session?
Each session is a space for us to explore what’s happening for you right now — how you’re experiencing yourself, your relationships, and your life. We might inquire into your thoughts, emotions, and how they show up in your body. Sometimes imagination, parts work, or dream exploration can help bring more understanding and movement to what feels stuck.
Therapy is a collaborative process — we discover together what feels most meaningful for you at your own pace.
How long does therapy take?
There isn’t a set timeframe. Some people come for a few months to focus on a particular issue or life transition; others stay longer to explore deeper patterns, histories, or ways of being. We can review together what feels right for you as the work unfolds.
I offer both short-term and open-ended psychotherapy in London Bridge, Blackheath, and Tunbridge Wells.
How often do sessions take place?
Therapy usually happens weekly, at a regular time each week. This steady rhythm helps build trust and continuity, which is essential for deeper, relational work. Occasionally, we might adjust frequency depending on what’s happening in your life or what feels most supportive.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything you share in therapy is treated with confidentiality. The only exceptions are rare circumstances where there’s a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, or if disclosure is required by law. If such a situation ever arose, I would always aim to discuss it with you first.
Do you offer online therapy as well as in-person sessions?
Yes. I offer both online therapy and in-person sessions in London Bridge, Blackheath, and Tunbridge Wells. Online therapy can be a good option if you are balancing work or home commitments or live further away, while in-person work can offer a more embodied sense of connection. We can decide together what feels right for you.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
People often come to therapy when something feels difficult, confusing, or hard to make sense of — or when they sense there’s more to life than the patterns they keep repeating. You don’t need to have a clear goal to begin; often, therapy starts with curiosity about yourself or a wish for more ease and understanding.
If you’re wondering about starting therapy in London Bridge, Blackheath, or Tunbridge Wells, we can arrange an initial session to talk about what brings you and what you’re hoping for.
How do I arrange an initial session?
You can contact me directly through the website or by email. I’ll get in touch to offer times for an initial session — online or in-person at London Bridge, Blackheath, or Tunbridge Wells. It’s a chance for us to meet, talk about what’s brought you, and see how it feels to work together.
What kind of therapy do you offer?
My approach is relational and depth-oriented, which means I’m interested in how your experiences, emotions, and relationships shape your inner world. We might explore what feels present between us in the moment, as well as how earlier experiences continue to live in you now.
Over time, this kind of exploration can bring a greater sense of self-understanding, freedom, and possibility in how you live and relate to others.
